Life has its way of getting faster and denser as the years progress. In the little spare time that comes throughout the week I find myself heading toward the kitchen. With a recipe in mind and a corkscrew in hand, a sly smile comes across my face as I realize I am about to spend the next hour (or more) “slaving” over a hot stove. Thus, my inspiration for writing this blog was an attempt at combining the things I love the most…food, drink, and words. While I have no professional training in food (aside from years of serving it in menial corporate establishments) I found that the more I learn on my own, the more I love the foodie world. I share these adventures in hopes that someone might likewise enjoy stumbling upon the culinary secrets you can only find by trying something new.—Dru Collins
